The Organizing committee consists of SAPNG, PNGPSA and nominated/ appointed host club
Executives (appointed approximately 12 months prior). |
|
| |
Stage formats are designed by PNGPSA Executives and members and sanctioned by the IPSC World
body. Stage designs, score sheet formats, entry form details and competition fees details must be
addressed and decided approximately 6 months before the match so artwork can be finalized and
construction of props and target repairs started. Artwork for match books must be submitted to the
official printer minimum 8 weeks before the competition. |

TROPHIES & MEDALS FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS |
|
| |
Cairns Tropical Trophies who have supplied us with trophies in past competitions have moulds for
PNGPSA and SAPNG medals. Overseas order largely depends on quantity of shooters registered and
forecasted income/sponsorship available for the event. Order for trophies and medals overseas must
be done approximately 8 to 10 weeks prior to the event to allow for any unforeseen delay. Engraving
is inclusive of the price so don’t hesitate to have the trophies and medals engraved.

CLUB COMMITTEE DUTY ROSTER |
|
| |
SATURDAYS & SUNDAY SCHEDULES |
|
| |
| 1. |
The Duty Officers are the respective Vice Presidents, Captains and Committee men of the various
shooting disciplines. Duty Officers are responsible for overseeing all training and competitions
schedule for the day and are the Senior Range Officers of the Club. |
| 2. |
Saturday shift is from 9:30 AM until 2-3:00 noon. |
| 3. |
Sunday shift is from 9:30 until the activity for the day finish. |
| 4. |
Saturday ISSF club competitions are from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. Sunday ISSF is mainly for training
purposes and hours are from 10:00am – 12:00 noon. |
| 5. |
Sunday IPSC hours starts from 9:30 AM (half hour for set-up) until around 1:00 pm depending on the
activity for the day. |
| 6. |
To create some free time for the officers to concentrate on organizing major competitions, IPSC
officers in the past encouraged members to design and set-up stages for Official IPSC Shoots. The
benefit to the members and to the club must not be underestimated. This will give the members a
challenge, assist in their understanding of the intricacies of setting up competitions as well as promote
member participation in other club activities.
|
| RESPONSIBILITIES OF DUTY OFFICERS: |
| The responsibilities of the Duty officer are as follows; |
| 1) |
ORGANISE CLUB GUNS - ensure that all club guns are delivered to the Club for you on
time. Make sure that new members are allocated the correct firearm for their training. |
| 2) |
ORGANISE SCHEDULED SHOOT FOR THE DAY - ensure that there is a range
officer, patchers scorers and markers. |
| 3) |
SET UP THE RANGE - unlock appropriate ISSF/ IPSC/SHOTGUN/RIFLE Range
storerooms and compressor shed (if required). The Club laborers can assist set up. If
IPSC/ISSF/RIFLE targets are over-patched, organize re-facing when convenient. Use new
targets wisely as they should be used mainly for Club competitions. |
| 4) |
GENERAL ENQUIRIES - deal with inquiries about membership, re-licensing, etc.. Our
office ladies are generally able to address membership enquiries and should be encouraged to
assist. |
| 5) |
CLOSE THE RANGE - when all shooting has been completed for the day, ensure that all
equipment is safely stowed away and that all rooms are locked. Too often, we see members go
whistling merrily away leaving a tired and frustrated committee member to clear up alone, so,
feel free to call on the assistance of Club members still present at the range. |
| 6) |
CLUB GUNS - ensure that all club guns are accounted for and picked up by their keepers.
Any problems that arise out of the activities that seem to compromise safety on the Range should be
reported immediately to the Committee. |
